I would be shocked if this is a first attempt to communicate. If so, dude is a dbag.
However, if it has gotten to the point that he kept a 7 week spreadsheet, I would assume the topic has been discussed. To me this sounds like an extreme and necessary approach to get to her. Using her work email to make a statement about where she has put the relationship.
