I believe the euro is usually slower to pick up on stuff but that’s usually more likely due to the fact that the GFS spins everything into a system.

I wonder if the wave near the Cabo Verde Islands will have to be watched closely over a week out. GFS turns it well well before threatening USA, Euro brings it way west

Yep. There are really two threats right now. If the ridge holds tight, that second system could easily end up an Andrew style path across Southern Florida into the gulf of Mexico.
Edit: I want to be clear, that second one is way off too. The models don't even get it to Florida yet. That ridge will be key to its path.

It can be but it doesn't have anything. Even at 96hrs, the Euro is a graveyard and the GFS is already getting things started.
