Well god dammit Geaux! You got any good news or just trying to steal any hope I have for survival?

What does that one do? I just downloaded Zello, which allows your phone to be a walkie-talkie if cell towers go down.
It's the same app Jeff uses and what most of us Texans use during tornado season.
Gives Wind reflectivity at the radar site and also standard radar + other maps.

A lot of the ISP's have opened free wifi spots statewide. I don't know if that means anything once the bad stuff starts happening.

Quite the contrary, I don't want you to hold out hope just to be disappointed and left alone. :(

Those are still macro level (BTS) towers radiating.
On top of that. If the BTS backhaul is underwater or offline, no one is getting any packet traffic.
You will still be able to do voice.

I am sitting in my office, which faces the front yard. I'm watching my 4' tree/bush hang on for dear life. I think it will be my little blue shed.
Sorry for derailing the weather thread. It's comforting to talk/type while this thing rolls in.

Don't apologize. Please keep sharing what you're seeing.

It is strange - still dark out, doesn't look like it's raining, but if you go outside you get soaked. I have a metal roof and you can definitely hear the rain and wind but if you look outside it looks like it isn't raining. Wind kicking up a great deal and what were "gusts" are more sustained.

I thought he was in Miami? They are getting a sustained 43 mph wind. Drama queen.
Liz, pics of your bush?

You have a little band headed at you now but the heavy rain in it is breaking apart right before your house.
Small victories, and whatnot.

Bathtubs are full. Locked and loaded with defense mechanisms. Food and water.
The neighborhood flooded two weeks ago, but our house is built up. You needed a big truck to leave and some houses took on water. I have a canal in the back, really a retention pond, but behind that is I-75, so I don't think water is an issue. The wind scares me. We put a 2X8 against the garage and backed the truck against it.
Wind is definitely picking up...

StormCarib puts the eye within ten miles of my house as it passes through Tampa Bay.

Is there a place I can upload video if I take any? I know Photobucket started charging, right?

Bonita Springs, in between Naples and Fort Myers. About an hour and a half NW of Miami.

I have a house north of you in Venice.

Party at your place!
Assuming either of our places are still standing. Oh, and if I'm still alive.
