The NWS is saying the storm will generate up to 5 inches of rain in some locations.

That's a typical afternoon squall line out here. But in the desert even a few inches can cause flash flooding.

I was in San Diego this past Mardi Gras and they couldn’t handle 2” of rain. I got a feeling there’s gonna be some landslides.
