Kind of frustrating that Norwegian is the only major cruise liner that hasn't announced itinerary changes for this storm. I just called and they still have us in port in Nassau Friday morning ....naw dog that ain't happnin'

it coming out near panhandle could be just as bad if it just lingers around plodding around the gulf. could dump tons of water on someone too if it moves slow/stalls with that proximity to land.

The track will continue to shift West.

IMO since the euro is showing the storm strengthening as it moves through the gulf, it has the tendency to push more poleward, rather than continuing along the ridge westward, hence the Florida coast skirting, due to latent heat release being greater along the northeastern quadrant of intensifying storms. On that same note, stronger storm = more of a poleward push, but since this storm is more compact, it doesn't drive into the ridge, like we would see with a larger, stronger storm (see angular momentum and it's impact on poleward tendencies)

what you should look for is what the models are agreeing on and right now that's a more northern track on top of intensifying to some degree.
