Hogan knew all about it, his dumb arse, with help from Bubba the fat sponge, thought it would lead to him getting a popularity jump, Kardashian effect, instead no one wanted it, gave a frick about him, and he had to save face.
Bubba and Hogan have been trying gimmick shite to make fast cash for a while. 2 total shite heads.

I think you are right...I think this was schemed by both to get money and I thnk Bubba got off on watching people screw his wife.

As someone else mentioned, I've been listening to Bubba since his Sirius days on Howard's 2nd channel.
As per Bubba, the dvd was stolen by a former show side kick, Spice Boy (Matt Lloyd). Lloyd had someone "shop" the tape to several agencies and all declined except for Gawker who gave $35k for a copy (I think that's what I heard it sold for).
Gawker then posted a 9 second clip and that's all that I've ever seen. Supposedly, the entirety of the video is 30 minutes.
Hulk did know that he was being video'd. As someone else said, Bubba was begging Hogan to rail his wife forever and Hogan says he gave in on a drunken night. Hogan sued Bubba at first for letting the video get out. They settled for only $5k.

For $5K, this seems like a publicity grab from the start.
It's sad that Bubba ended up getting divorced. I can't believe it didn't work out.

I lived in Florida during his supposed Hey day, and never once heard of him. Was an electrician, so people had radios on every job site. Heard Howard, Monsters of midday, Lex n terry, etc. Never heard of fat sponge till howard brought him to sirius.

If you like Howard's early years where he constantly pushed the envelope, you'd like Bubba. He's like a southern redneck version of Howard. Yes he frequently talks about Nascar/racing and wrestling but he also does good interviews and had fun guests.
