Thanks TigerBR!!! As aforementioned, the Lords work indeed!!

In a state ranked number one in violent crime setting up an inspection sticker checkpoint at 5pm to get all the hard working people on their way home, real good use of law enforcement.

This is the part of the checkpoints that really drives me up a wall. #1 in violent crime and at the very least we’ve got 6-8 officers making sure a vehicle has a sticker. Doing it at knocking off time is even more asinine. Hit the hardworking, taxpaying, citizens in their wallets!!

IMO every officer running checkpoints is better used patrolling our most violent areas. Get us out of the top 25 in those statistics before back to business as usual.

I think that there’s a chance they are looking for more than expired inspection stickers.

Then they should set it up somewhere where they are more likely to catch those types

One of the most crime ridden cities is trying to catch soccer moms going to the Children’s museum and Hundred Oaks residents heading to work. All so they can fine them for not getting a dumb sticker updated on their 2021 SUV.

Pay your tags and don't otherwise be a fuuckstick and you'll be fine.

So some guy trying to make ends meet working 60 hours a week gets his car impounded bc it can’t pass inspection now you’ve got another family of 5 on welfare.

That’s easy to say, what about people living paycheck to paycheck not sure where to pay for a new tire if they have a blow out?

What about people who were living paycheck to paycheck in 2020…then need an extra $2,000 to pay for essentials today.

Not saying don’t pay your bills, but it’s easy to say just pay it, when you’ve got the money sitting in your bank account…fact is a large portion of the population doesn’t.

To cap it all off LA roads are barley fit to drive on, the same could be said for the government…pay your bills (ie roadwork)

Inspection stickers are such a money grab by the state anyway. Make sure your vehicle is up to code to drive on our pothole filled roads.
this is the fricked up part.
My windshields stay cracked with all the cane and gravel trucks around here. Plenty new vehicles with everything else working fine, no illegal tint, still can’t get a sticker cause of a windshield crack. No point in even trying anymore. It’s almost $1k to replace a windshield with all the calibrations now.
It’s a money grab. Conducted by cops who are too pussy to do their actual job.

It might be…but it’s true

The main reason is though for fear that the fines would actually be paid.

Meanwhile, I’m out on my patio in StG listening to the nightly drag races on Burbank. Glad we are getting all those criminals that live on Lakeshore Drive or are students or teachers at LSU.

I live an extremely boring life.

Riding around Louisiana with expired tags is my adventure.

Game on, Smokey.

It's the broken window theory. If your sticker is expired, there is a good chance you don't have insurance, and to sweeten the pot, you are likely to have a bench warrant out for your arrest.

Checkpoints are such a small town Louisiana thing. Grew up with them and even when I go back still see out deployed.

Edit: been out Louisiana for 20 years and have never seen anything like it.

Oh well. It is what it is. They’d find alot of illegal vehicles and more. But we know who law and officials turn a blind eye ro.

To the person who can’t get a sticker bc of window crack. Keep looking. You’ll find someone to sell you one.
