They're starting to come out now. I don't go off in the wilderness now, they're hungry and not nearly as easy to scare off as when they're fat and happy.

With no gun, which doesn't really help much anyway, I'd spray it and hope it fell off a cliff. Otherwise, if it wants to kill you, it will kill you.

I would cut a hole thru the ice on a lake and lay a few fish around the hole. When he was busy eating the fish I would sneak up behind him and kick him in the icehole.

Amazing that a thread about am impossible feat made it to 10 pages.

The only hope would be to climb the tallest tree and hope the bear would fall to its death before it reaches me.
