I think the Apollo program had a big PR push behind it, and I would think Artemis will be the same.

Even with the "short attention spans" of today, I still think the Artemis program will capture the attention of a lot of people. Putting humans on the moon again will be a big deal.

We still have a lot to learn there. And not just about the moon itself, but about life in places other than Earth (and not just human life).

Constructing a moon colony is a critical first step toward living on Mars one day, and eventually on planets outside the solar system.

The only way it could be a waste of time and money is if you believe that humans are - and should be - trapped on Earth forever.

I work at the Michoud Assembly Facility and we have some damn cool stuff on campus.

NASA is old school though. SpaceX, Blue Origin, and especially Relativity Space will own the market in full soon.
