How to toughen a kid up?

Any suggestions? 15 year old baw. Has always played sports, good athlete, smart, but not much self confidence. Would classify as beta af.

Make him work on a farm.
Basically, deprive him of all the creature comforts that are making him soft. Sweat blood and tears will harden him up and make him appreciate how good he has it.

Don’t . He’s probably just a gentle soul - hasn’t found out who he is yet. Focus on his character, spend time with him, give him good feedback on what he does well, let him know he’s made you proud and that he measures up , etc. Life will toughen him up enough anyhow.
