Put cones up, buy 6-7 50lb bags of concrete and make your own speed bump. Problem solved

we got speed bumps installed at our old house.

We had one neighbor get a petition and all the neighbors signed it. and next thing we knew we had speeds bumps.

I hate people like you. Those speed bumps don't work anyway. I never slow down for them and just drive right over them.

If you want to end up in court.

I have no clue how involved installation is, but it looks like you can buy rubber speed bumps for only a few hundred bucks. LINK Your neighbors and the county don't need to know how it got there.

I have a similar problem. But mine is that it's an old lady. I can't believe I'm bitching about an old lady driving too fast, and honestly I wouldn't give a shite, but my son likes to play in the yard, and while me or my wife are always with him, I'm still worried that one day he may sneak out or something and end up chasing his ball into the street. But the lady is like 60 (not old in the general sense in that my parents are older, but old in the driving too fast conversation) and she hauls arse down (40+ MPH) this small road. She's the last house on the dead end and I'm the second to last house, but they're big plots of land, and she'll fly past and begins to slow down as soon as she passes.

I would check on speed bumps but I don't think it's happening. It's somewhat in the country and tt's a packed gravel road so I'd imagine they'd lay asphalt before putting speedbumps. I'm probably just going to talk with her one day. I think you did the right thing by talking to the kid. Word will spread between the kid you told and the kids who live there that the guy down the street gets pissy when you speed. At least I remember telling my buddies that when my neighbor used to get pissed. Now I'm the pissy neighbor. Funny how that works out.

I have been thinking about this. A mag drill and some cut to length rebar and I could install them myself. I think I'm going to get with the county and if they don't do anything take matters into my own hands.

I'm about to. It's a fairly recent thing. We just moved to the neighborhood a few months ago.

10-4. Politely asking normally solves the problem if it's someone who lives in the neighborhood.

Yeah, I do. I have a front yard too. I don't think my 19 month old would distinguish the 2, nor understand the danger, if he were to sneak out once he learns to open doors.

You could have "SLOW YO ROLL" painted on the road like that one street over near Walmart in NOLA.
