Get arrested in public while possessing your firearm. The police will let you know if it’s been approved

I don’t know how some of you function on your own.

In Bama they are required.to issue or deny the application within 30 days.
Louisiana is such a corrupt shithole.

In alabama when I first got my permit issued, I took my application to the window, the deputy ran a background check and 20 minutes later I had a permit. It's been that exact same process every year I have renewed it. Why do y'all have to wait?

I assume you didn't file online and get your prints done at LSP HQ

That's what I did... 12 days from when I clicked submit till I got my permit in the mail.

If you gave Louisiana that option, they'd just take your money, wait 29 days and deny you.
At least the way it is now they have to give you a permit if there is nothing disqualifying you... Eventually.

Isn't LA a shall issue state? meaning if you meet all the qualifications they can't just deny you. that's grounds for legal action.

In Texas it took about 20 days for me.

I know it's been awhile but I had been waiting almost three months and decided to check back in. Turns out they forgot to note it as approved in the system and they are mailing my permit out. Might want to make sure they haven't forgotten if you still don't have it.
