Well I signed the papers cutting probations short so guys could come join up with you. So I guess we will have to agree that I am right and you are too dumb to see that we agree that probations were cut short so people could enlist.

So you're saying probation goes much better for the person willing to become a productive member of society?

Here's the enlisted procurement manual you'll find it in there. Don't have time to look through that shite just to prove I'm right

Absolutely. Military service has straitened out countless frick heads. I'm not shitting on the process. It saved the lives of more than a few acquaintances.

crappy asvab scores.

My school made us take the ASVAB (no clue why) and I didn't even try and I passed with ease. Yet people that actually want to join the military can't pass it

Dude shut up you asked for proof I send you the thing. You also asked about today's standards as well, your life must be miserable.

Watched all the kids on probation join to avoid jail

Best thing that ever happened to
My brother. We convinced Judge Morvant to get rid of charges if he joined Army. Kid got straightened out in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. Got RN on GI Bill and is a solid citizen now, instead of being in jail. Nothing wrong w that.

Btw the Marines are the only branch that even has requirements to go to boot camp

Not true unless something has changed since I joined the Army, you had to do an entry pt test before you could leave the processing station and start basic.

Looks like 2004. If you knew anything about the military, you'd know that's probably the same one from 1992 with a different date.

You sent a thing that has nothing to do with what we were talking about.

How so? I talked frankly about how I participated in probation being cut short so people could enlist. You said "nuh-uh! I was a recruiter and we didn't accept people on probation!"

That all jibes with what I said. Then you sent some guidelines from 15 years after the timeline we were discussing.

Tell me again where I am wrong here?

Must have changed when I was recruiting the army didn't do it. 2011-2014.

Might be because USAREC (army recruiting command) hasn't made enlistment goals for years.

A funny thing army recruiters do though if a kid decides to back out they tell them to go to the airport and not get on the flight . USAREC doesn't count that as attrition lol

I joined in the 90s. It was also really easy, like 15 push ups, 20 sit ups, and one mile in 10 minutes (I don't remember the exact numbers). We actually had a kid die of heart failure during the run portion at Benning.

Nice. I was 5811 my entire time but managed to do a lot with it. Been out a little over a year now. Living the Billy Madison dream. 1 yr left until I finish my BS. Cannot freaking wait.

That's not even challenging to most people. When we arrived for two-a-days every player on the team had to, and did, beat that time. I took a jogging class for my PE credit when I transferred to LSU and all but the chubby chicks made it.
