My wife: learned to read at age 3 on her own, G/T program in school, high school valedictorian, full college scholarship, med school, board certified physician. VERY SMART.
My wife: Can't read a map and can get lost in a phone booth, does things the hard way that take 3 times as long "because that's just the way I do it", can't figure out how to add something as an attachment to an e-mail, wouldn't plug in and use a wet-dry vac because "water and electricity don't mix and she'd get electrocuted". NOT SO SHARP.

Wife is one of the top Dr's in her field in the BR/Nola region. She has to take the same way to the hospital everytime because she is afraid of getting lost. Even if 10, Perkins, or all the fantastic Uptown streets are under construction - she will sit through it.
