Found it age 24. Retired age 59.

I’m 40 and I haven’t found it yet. I think 8-10 years would be my max anywhere

37 and still looking. Had one a few years ago I could've seen retiring from. But like others, the oilfield cobbled the company up and spit it out. Been consulting ever since and honestly, I like it and will do this as long as I can.

I got lucky at 20. Been with my employer now for 32 years. They paid for my college, offer a great 401k and have a killer pension (2/3rd pay for life at retirement, which is 9 years away).

I’m 30 and still looking. I’ve been at my job for 6 years and although it’s a great company to work for and paid fairly well, I’m always looking for ways to better myself

I'm 40, and I'm not there yet. I like my job, but I can't see being in it 20 more years.

Found my career in my mid-20s

I disagree with this. It may be true for the majority of family owned businesses, but not all.

I seem to get bored with what I'm doing every 7 years or so and find something else to provide. While I'll probably do what I'm doing now until I retire, hopefully it won't be my primary source of income in the future. I have businesses I want to open.

Started business in 2004. 2 guys and a truck. Now we have 30 trucks and 50+ employees. Started a few other businesses along the way, all doing well. I have been very lucky...

Maybe, but I've been in a couple, and that's my experience. YMMV, of course.

28 years old, stayed for 34 years and retired at 62 with pension and SS.
Pharmaceutical sales was a great job then. I probable would not get hired today

26, the company recruited me. Planned on staying just a couple years, get the experience and move on. 37 years later and more experiences and good times than I could possibly remember, I finally retired without any regrets.

30 now. Began here at 24. Federal Gubment job that I didn't plan on being at long term but now I am making a very good salary, have tons of time off, low stress, lots of opportunity to move up and make significantly more money, 5% matching retirement, pension, etc
So here I am lol
