My dad set up an online account on a website called Easybets, and he and I would bet football games every weekend starting when I was 9. It was a great way to learn about point spreads, odds, broken legs, repossessed cars, etc.

If shooting marbles counts as gambling, then 10. If not, then pulling out at 14.

dad used to take me to Oaklawn when I was little on saturdays. When I got to the point where I actually understood what was going on he would give me $20 dollars and let me make wagers throughout the day. First wager was probably at..8.

I won a pick 3 when I was 9 on a 2 dollar wager. paid $150 dollars and you could not tell me shite. My dad tried to tell me it only paid $40 dollars but was surprised when I was smart ehough to read and understand the tote board.

I

i spent every last fricking dime of that money at blockbuster video and red lobster lol

In 7th grade we'd play blackjack for a nickel a hand during lunch. So 12/13 years old.

When I was in middle school, we played a game we called “be like me”. Where two people would pull a coin from their pocket, and one player would say be like me. They would flip their coins and if the coins matched heads or tails, then the player who didn’t call be like me would get both coins, and vice versa.

Wasn’t much, but it was the difference between getting extra candy at recess or losing your money.

11. Got down on the Super Bowl and got smoked. Lesson not learned. Still gamble to this day, and usually get smoked.

6. Yes at six I could read a racing form. Got to get the kids full blown degenerates by 1st grade. I guess it’s part of growing up around the track.
