No they aren't. If you teach them that flat bills are trashy then they won't want to wear them. It's just that simple.
Teach your son that the little girl is trashy for liking flat bills, but it's ok to like trashy girls. Tell him when she's not around he's to bend the bill, when she's around he can wear it flat if he's feeling trashy.

A little girl is dictating your entire conclusion on this matter? Flat bills are trashy looking, always have been. You can be technically "not trashy" but look trashy and learn trashy behaviors. How about using the little girl as a lesson to your son that little girls dont tell boys what to do.

She isn't dictating my opinion, I think they suck, but she's certainly dictating his opinion. I think fighting it will just make it worse and before I know I'll be a grandpa because he knocked this chick up to get back at me for making him wear curved brim hats.
