Too old to stop?

I guess the only correct answer to that is "after you're dead".

Skate if you want to man. Better than being a fat arse as you get older. I have a longboard I've done some upgrades to over the years. It's a blast to take out for a ride. Life keeps me so busy that about the only time I take it out anymore is on vacations or weekend trips to BR. Most of the pavement around tiger stadium is very smooth. Took it to Anna Maria Island in FL a few years ago for July 4th. Watched fireworks on the beach then skated that entire island until 3 am with some long time friends. Good times.

Not reading this thread but has anyone called you out on how badly this question is phrased?

How old is too old to stop??

Like if I'm 50 and still skateboarding then I'm too old to stop so I just have to keep skateboarding till I die? If I don't quit by 16 then I'm too old to stop?

Do you get paid for it? Grownups don't do stuff unless they get paid

That's ridiculous. I've never been paid for jerking off.

Like any contact sport, it depends on a few factors:

- do you need all 4 appendages to make a living daily? Working in a plant you may not be able to enter the facility in a walking boot for example.
- do you have to look professional to make a living(busted face, scraped elbows okay?)?
- do you have Medical/Dental/STD/LTD insurance through your employer?
- do you have kids? If you have little ones and need to take care of them (baths, diaper changes, etc) for example

This may be a funny thread but guys my age still playing competitive rugby seriously have to consider these things.
