How often does History education curriculum get updated?

Is there a benchmark for period of time before a new book gets installed into a school curriculum? How do they keep up with all the updates in modern history at levels below college?

They just remove the offensive parts of history every few years so that our snowflakes don't get triggered. Ever heard of the legend of the holocaust?

Schools usually have a rotation for when they update subject area textbooks. For obvious reasons, science and history are on a shorter rotation (i.e. 3-4 years), math and English a longer rotation schedule (i.e. 7-10 years).

False. History books are in circulation the longest because history doesn't change and they don't have to spend the money on them. They will wait until the books are falling apart until new textbook are ordered for History.

It's asinine to want or use a history textbook in school ... one of the larger scams in public education ... there is zero need for them ...

they're boring, homogenous sterilized collections of snapshots that offer almost no insight into an event or period ... we have the Internet and can teach all sides of an issue or event ... why do we need a textbook that has been watered down and is the product of compromises of petty ideological differences? ...

How do they have time to learn everything if the curriculum is constantly growing? How do they decide what to cut?

I'm pretty sure I never had a history class make it to Vietnam. We always ran out of time, so while new stuff does indeed happen, when you start with Hammurabi it gets difficult to cover it.
