I'm in Dallas and can't recall meeting any cali transplants other than ones that have been here for over 20 years. I have known a couple of different people that moved to Cali from here.

I didn’t say I believed that. Can you not read? I’m just saying it’s not as black and white as all you CA haters make it out to be.
Triggered much?

How? I meet them weekly at work. Sometimes at church.

I’ve known a few who moved to Lafayette for the music, dance, and romanticized culcha. The worst was an arrogant Ph.D. from the Bay Area whose UL teaching ratings hit rock bottom after he gave bad grades to students who either worked as or grew up with professional Cajun musicians. His wife finally forced him back to Cali after years of misery dealing with our climate, politics, and social norms.
Another transplant has no credentials but represents himself as an expert on music, dance, and history after years of cultural appropriation. Locals play him for a fool but outsiders don’t know better and grant him interviews too frequently.
The others I’ve known eventually figured out that much of what brought them here was romanticized for tourism and they moved on.

They’re leaving because can’t afford it. Not only because of political climate.
The two are synonymous.

East Tennessee is so bad. So, so bad.
But not as bad as Nashville. My friends there say 25% of their private elementary schools are CA and NY transplants.
