Damn, technology is even going to put drs out of business. What about lawyers?

I just don't see a point where lawyers are obsolete. For example I just don't see a robot going to court or communicating with a judge in a status conference over a child custody battle. Only part where I see a lot of lawyers will begin to hurt with the self driving cars because of the lack of car accidents.

I didn't say they would be, in fact I said assuming obsolescence was the wrong way to look at it. But we are headed towards a self serve future, so we will need fewer lawyers. Just look at Legal Zoom. Things you used to have to go into a lawyer's office to get done can now be done by you filling out a few forms on the internet.
Practically anything that is routine can be done by computers. The world is going to change dramatically in the next 10-20 years and a lot more people than realize will find themselves having no value in the new economy.

but I am talking next level diagnosis...and no I don't think it will happen soon.
Never under current situations. Hell, CT's and MRI's aren't that much better than they were 15 years ago. Have they gotten cheaper? Has new imaging evolved so we don't have to decide contrast or no contrast? CT or MRI? Nope.
Not sure any company would be willing to develop this and accept the liability and have to give it away. You think libs are gonna let somebody create an all knowing super robodoc and charge for it?

I've seen computers read ekgs.
AI is nowhere close to replacing docs

I worked in Healthcare for two decades and I'm convinced certain roles will be marginalized if not eliminated and the Radiologist is one of them. I think they will remain for Interventional and other procedures but the reading of studies will eventually become almost solely electronic.
The variability among Radiolgists in reporting is shockingly high and while a computer isn't perfect it will be consistent and eliminate human error. I suspect within the next decade or so that all Imaging reports will be generated by a computer and a Radiologist will simply sign off verifying that they agree with the interpretation. Such technologies already exist for Mammography.
