15% if she has full custody.

So 1200-1500.

Basic calculation is $987 a month, but it depends on some other factors such as extraordinary expenses and amount of time domiciled with each parent. You should consult with an attorney who does domestic relations law.

Problem with your idea is that his 110k job might not be guaranteed for 18 years.

Isn't that case for any job in any situation outside of tenured teachers/professors?

Ask her if she would have a problem putting the baby up for adoption. You'll come out cheaper.

I gave her extra money every month cause I felt bad that it came out so little.

I do the same. I could have gotten away with paying very little because my ex does very well. However, I wanted my child to live in a nice neighborhood when she was with her mom so I paid up.
Since then, she has gotten a raise or two and she has told me to put the extra money in an education fund. It helps that we are still friends.

I selected the page that seems to fit the circumstances.

Well, the way I look at it, is all the money goes to the child in the big picture. I have no problem paying whatever I have to pay. My ex is very smart and always does the right thing when it comes to our child. It's all good.

What about Spousal Support? Unless she was cheating on you, prepare thy anus for that too. You make 75% more than her. Cheaper to keep her and just get some side action. Get a bigger house and stay the frick away from her.

Was just about to ask about this. I make a little more than half your salary and I'm paying $1,200 a month for interim spousal support and $350 for child support. The soon to be ex is making around 40k part time. The kids are split 50/50. We also split the bills pretty much evenly so don't forget you're still responsible for
bills. Granted, the spousal support will end once we are divorced. The child support will also go down once she goes to full time, I probably won't have to pay anything once she's full time.

I did the PI thing. She has a boyfriend. It was costly but I'll make that back and more because the divorce will end much sooner than the year you have to wait with kids. Infidelity is grounds for immediate divorce so that saves me months of spousal support which is obviously thousands.

Good luck

ETA: I am also responsible to cover all of them on health insurance which is around 800 a month, plus our life insurance policies. I'm barely left with anything after its all said and done so start looking for a friend or relative to live with because you probably won't have enough to rent something yourself.

A hit man is cheaper than divorce.
