My ex mother-in-law was married/divorced 6 or 7 times.

Should've seen that big red flag as it relates to her daughter.

Id say after three tries, its probably time to call it quits. Tough to argue that after three marriages its always the other persons fault.

The trouble with marriage today especially is that it's almost always purely conditional, even when people involved say it isn't. It's self serving. In my estimation, that is why a real lasting marriage is so very hard to find, because love isn't a fluttering feeling or when times are good. It's giving, and when things get tough, because they always do, you can't depend on fluttering feelings and what's convenient. You depend on the oath, and love grows out of that.

I think people in general have an extremely perverted view of what love is, and most of that is driven by fairy tales and the movies. Others are much more devious in hinging their relationships on money and success, and if and when either hit the rocks, the marriage is over.

That in my estimation is why there are so many divorces, because the two or one are purely in it for self alone.

Did it once for 27 yes before divorce. No way in hell I marry again. Shack up? Maybe. Probably prefer we each have our own places and just get together when we feel like it.

This has to be hard as shite...... Woman are the devil.... Steal 27 years of your life and expect you to have to go hunt for split tail after you're geriatric.... evil..

Could be a hell of a good time with the right amount of money to throw around though

I understand possibly getting 1 divorce and a remarry, but after that, no way in hell I get remarried a second time.

I still am a believer that I will be married one time and stay married my entire life, but Im an optimist.

I think the third time means the person is not suited for marriage - bad luck becomes a much less likely reason at that point.
