Well after a long time if you've got a string of friends who are also exes, they're likely still single too. That's not a good sign IMO. To put it another way, most exes won't be friends if they're in a relationship. If you're friends with most of your exes, most of them are probably single. Hence, you're picking the wrong women because no one else seems to be picking them.
