Not all submission is violence. It is submission and feeling safe. Not every man can put his hands on your throat and it make you feel safe.
It's hard to explain. It's a feeling of complete trust that you feel when he looks at you. You know that it's more than sex and violence. You know that he cares and he isn't going to hurt you. You know that he knows that he knows what he is doing and that he wants you to enjoy it as much as he is. You go limp and go with it.
You know that he owns you, but you know that you are going to get as much pleasure as he is, if not more.

Not a lot. But, the one thing I will say is I had an ex I thought I would end up with friend zone me and it almost put me in the insane asylum. I can deal with it when it's a chick I have never gotten with or never had a chance with. But, to be super close with someone and have them later string you along in the FZ is
