This is some epic spin. Bravo.

it's not spin. it's the truth. if i really cared about a person enough to develop and foster that level of connection, then there is likely something worth salvaging if one level of that connection goes away

there are only so many people in the world who are worth my time or effort

No normal, post-high school relationship should lead to situations where you're comfortable being friends after you break up, at least not on a regular basis.

why not? that makes literally no sense

now i'm not saying i was friends with them a week after we broke up. some had year + gaps

hell some had some EPIC bridge burning on my part. the last thing you ever want to be is a girl who is involved with me who then reverts back to vague girl-sayings to explain what happened. i will lawyer the frick out of you even if it means i burn it all down to the ground trying to find out what the truth is, with not even a foundation left

I was married for 17 years, 4 kids, and went through a divorce. It was heartbreaking but we're actually legit friends now. On a regular basis. Why would you consider this to be wrong?

I don't keep up because the number of times I've been FZed or FZed someone is through the roof. Though, I suppose I'm not really "friends" with that many of them, it usually just kind of slowly phases out to acquaintances.

You're seriously comparing that to a several month long relationship that has ended? Jesus.

If you had been following the thread, you would've seen that no one was referring to marriage/divorces but rather short term (relatively) relationships that have ended.

I've been following the thread. I quoted exactly what I responded to. Go back and read the exact quote that he made and that I responded to. Reading comprehension, bro.
