It's a lot like when my little brother went through his foot-fetish phase and he was always borrowing my computer to look up foot porn. Yeah we thought about having an intervention for him but we just couldn't explain to my mother how foot-porn could be a real addiction. She just kept saying "he's not drinking or smoking the foot porn, how could he be addicted?". So in the end we didn't do any dramatic intervention or send him off to a rehab or anything but I still feel like maybe we should have. Anyway he eventually grew up and grew out of it, got a pretty nice job working for the state now. Pay isn't the greatest but the benefits are above average and you can't beat the vacation schedule.

My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, "If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately." Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me, "Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because your post gave me cancer anyway.

I seriously don't know what the frick white privilege is. Or what it's supposed to be.

Probably 2-3 dozen.

I am thankful for mine each and every day.
