Curious- what is the value of your home and how much was your premium per year?

You can’t be serious. That’s foolish not to have both.

You will be saving money again by not having to pay $3000/month mortgage payments.
But there's no way in hell I'd drop homeowner insurance.
That's to protect you (somewhat)from lawsuits and destruction of your home.

Smart if you can hitch and tow your home some place safe, stupid if you can't. Best of luck to you.

What a complete waste of money that has been.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with this statement. I for one, would be homeless if not for my home owner's insurance.

This is idiotic. You do realize that if someone gets hurt on your property, that you will be liable for damages out of your pocket, don't you?

Ah but the attorneys that buy entire dockets of plaintiffs, assert bogus claims with trumped-up damages to try and recover large sums of money against insurance companies, leading to all of our rates going up, you’re cool with those guys?

Careful now...I defense insureds too. That means you, when you are in trouble. No one ever complains when I’m the bad guy stepping in to shield them from a bullet in the lawsuit and holding their hand the entire way when they are scared some bs claim will ruin them financially.

Stick to your lane scooter. The world is full of false assumptions and you just stated one.

He basically got nothing for his piece of shite lot in New Orleans East...
