It's not a federal Democrat or Republicans business to decide whether or not it's morally right. It's a state's rights issue.

Prohibition does not work.

I don't smoke it anymore, and one reason why is because just like driving drunk I cannot afford to risk the consequences if caught with it.

If something as toxic and poisonous as liquor and cigarettes can be bought every day, then so should pot. It's not a miracle drug cure all like the pro pot folks who base their identity off of it make it out to be, but it for DAMNED sure isn't on the same level of life-destroying capacity as the former mentioned legal drugs.

All I know is this: if my father would've put down the pill and liquor bottle and picked up the bud like a couple of his friends did after he came out of rehab for the umpteenth time, perhaps he wouldn't of left his teenage son 20 long years ago- and when he needed him around the most.

Everything in moderation.

Everything.

I’ve smoked probably every day or close to it, and it’s just about knowing what you can and can’t do. Don’t get high if you can’t finish a simple tasks for the day if you smoked. Keeping good grades/good performance in workforce, being responsible, and just overall being respectful in your use of pot really isn’t hard. Get your shite done, and then you can be as high as you want to

I’ve had one of my close friends commit suicide earlier this year while tripping on LSD. While it’s not a normal circumstance, I still hold guilt over my head because he hit me up for some bud while I was asleep, presumably trying to calm himself down. I understand that’s a different circumstance then most but I still genuinely think he would still be here if he had some, and it still hangs a cloud over my head. Pot isn’t an end all be all, but it’s damn sure better then doing just about anything else. If any of y’all are doing harder drugs, stop for your family and friends sake. Light up a bowl instead.

One of the main themes when I was growing up and smokin the reefer in high school was “getting busted.” If you got caught and lost your allowance, had privileges taken from you, or had all your shite confiscated, then you went from just getting busted to getting frickin busted.

You couldn’t get busted. Your future, your life, your dignity was at stake. The creativity and imagination it took to jump through hoops to keep from getting busted will be lost once it’s totally legal.

Basically, I’m wondering what teenagers will be paranoid about if they don’t have to be paranoid about GETTING BUSTED!
It would still be illegal for minors.

Are all illegal drugs considered an Avenue to escape reality and dealing with life issues?

My sister was just in California and had some dipshit blow smoke right in her face in a hotel.

I'm not against it (shite, at least it's natural compared to half the shite we put in our bodies), but it should be regulated just like alcohol if it is legalized.

I'm for legalization, but not because I partake (I don't). I just don't think it's any of my damned business if a grown man wants to smoke a fairly harmless drug. Like alcohol, it should be age-restricted and you shouldn't drive high.

Get that logic out of here. This board is for stupid hot takes only. /s But seriously, this. I know a lot of high functioning successful people who also smoke pot every once in awhile.

My BIL is an executive for a Fortune 500 company. He and my sister both smoke pot fairly regularly.

Im a live and let live kind of guy. I understand living around people means I have to see and experience things I am not wild about. But freedom is far more important.

I wish I liked pot. It just didnt do anything for me. And if I smoked it again right now I'd lose my job.

Funny how on the railroad you can drink yourself to death and pop every prescription pill there is but smoke one joint and your gone.

I don't have a huge issue with states creating some common sense laws around where you can smoke it. I don't really want people smoking it on the doorsteps of a daycare or anything.

I smoked it a good bit when I was younger. It's probably been a good 15 years at this point though. I could lose my job over it now too.

Why would anyone want to legalize cannibals? That practice is disgusting.

What’s wrong with you?

This is already the case in most states. In Nevada, you can only partake in a private residence. Legally you can’t even partake in your hotel room.
