Who does one call to remove a tree from your roof? Roofer? Tree service?
Tree service, then roofer.
There will be plenty of clean up crews around over the next few days. Go talk to them and have them do it. Next, put up a tarp and secure it very well. Then call as many roofers as you can find and go with whichever one can do it the fastest.

Have friends and family in Deloaks. Had people try and get to Deloaks this morning from Beau Chene. Water on 22 has it down to 1 lane before the entrance, and there is water over the entrance to Deloaks. Heard second hand reports from people inside Deloaks that there are trees blocking the road and they can't get out anyway.

Just heard from my in-laws in Bedico Trace.
Trees down, some minor damage but the neighborhood is okay. Texts are randomly getting through.

Friend of mine who lives down Robert rd. off hwy 59 drove to check out my house in Abita. Tree damage not as bad as it was for Katrina.Still some trees down though. He did say just about every power line pole from Robert Road all the way just past Dog Pound (Harrison) Rd. is snapped, so it could be a little bit till power is back.

Working the hurricane command center for supply chain at Home Depot. Apparently the roof completely blew off of our Hammond distribution center. Should make for an interesting month or so for us in the transportation world.

I'm renting one of the houses around Franco's. How's it looking around there?
Posted on 8/30/21 at 1:44 pm to Socrates Johnson
Will take a look behind Franco’s in a little bit

Thanks, it's the street Franco's is on. Bon Temps Roule.

All look good from the street back there

Today is not "Take a walk or ride day." Today is card games, board games, read a book and cook day. Large trees and power lines are down on most every street … many on homes. PD is currently going house to house to check on anyone in a home with a tree on it / in it. Fire is working with Public Works to clear main thoroughfares. This is slow, tedious and dangerous work. Due to downed power lines, Public Works is currently battling its way to S. Tyler Street (LA Hwy 21). State highways will be the priority, particularly towards the hospital. There is no way to give a reasonable time line for when streets will be cleared or electricity restored. EVACUEES: You should stay where you are at least until tomorrow. There are zero reports of looting, but numerous reports of neighbors helping neighbors. BOIL WATER ADVISORY: For drinking and cooking, please boil. This is a precaution only. There are no reports of any contamination. INJURIES / FATALITY: A couple of minor ones that were able to stay home during storm … hope to clear safe path to hospital today. No reports of storm related deaths. Push / Debris Removal Contract has been activated. This means outside contractors will be working to remove trees from streets. Communication: AT&T is out, Verizon still functioning. MMJ

Just got att back in goodbee.
Catching up on info, have not been able to reach my parents. I saw the eye moved right over the area between Hammond and Albany.
Does anyone have any knowledge what so ever of how hard that area was hit?

Just got cell service back. No power still but our house made out fine. Covington I12@21, north side.

Hey just got cell service so have lost touch with the world. 2 questions:
1) anyone hear how fast the winds and gusts were in Mandeville last night?
2) any news on Cleco being back up and water restored? I’m down 1088
Sorry for potentially redundant questions.

1-2 weeks is what I was told. So realistically, 1 week or less.
