LOVE proving people wrong with this. When people come into the hospital at their worst moment, screaming in pain, and a tattooed healthcare provider is taking care of them. Automatically people think your trash and ignorant. At the end of the day, they thank me for taking care of them or saving a family members life. Some people need to think before they judge a book by its cover because that ignorant tattooed guy might be saving your arse one day.

Many, many doctors, surgeons, and nurses have tattoos that I know. They don't have tats on their faces, but I've seen some half sleeves, on shoulders seeing them off of work, and I know a ER doc with one on his neck. I also know of my sis n law (brother's wife) dad who is a pretty big shot attorney that retired out of NO who has a half sleeve from when he was in Vietnam.

I have two that I had done between 18-19. I regret it, but I did put them where they can be hidden by a t-shirt.

I have 2.

One was done as a drunk 17 year old, and I regret.

The other was done as a shared experience with my wife while we were still dating (22-23 yrs old?), and I don't regret it at all. It has good memories behind it.

Is this the weekly obligatory "tattoos are trashy and for the poors" thread?

Or the highly pre-judging "I am better than you" thread. Worrying about events out of my control is something I don't do. If you like tats get them, if you don't, don't get them.

Pretty simple.

If you don't want to be judged, don't do something like get a tattoo. Pretty simple.

You'll always be judged by others, tattoos or no tattoos. If you want to try and please everyone, that's your prerogative. For me, it's simple. Do you, I'll do me, the rest is just birds chirping.

Well, of course. Tell that, though, to the ones who believe "you have no right to judge me." That seems to be a main millennial theme.

Or get to know the person and have an open mind. I used to be the most judgemental prick, but I finally realized that the world is made up of so many different people. Diversity is a good thing. I have a wide range of friends and I wouldn't want it any other way.
