Supposedly my picture is used often by guys trying to hook up. Women look at the picture once and it doesn't matter what the dude looks like in real life, my pic just makes them so horny.

If the girl looks too attractive and normal to be on a dating site, I almost always assume that the picture is not authentic.

A coworker snapped a picture of me one day and I just ignored him. The next week he said he had put it on some dating site as a prank, but got no interest using my photo, so he moved on to the next unsuspecting guy.

Back in the day I met a girl online and she sends me a picture. Hot blonde so I was in. We emailed off and on a few weeks and one day I'm walking across LSU campus and I see her. So I walk up to her and say hello. Well the girl Im looking at has no clue who I am. Eventually I explain what I think happened and that this girls picture was being used by some internet girl. She gave me her LSU email address and I sent her what I had. Sure enough, it was a picture from her Hot or Not profile that this mystery girl had used as herself. I called the bitch out and she was honest about it. We quit talking but she kept calling me and emailing me for months like a crazy stalker.
Fast forward a few years and I get a call from a detective in North Carolina. He says there was an arson fire that they though I may know something about. I told him he got the wrong person and he said they found a purse near the building with papers in it with my name and phone number written all over it. Immediately I knew it was her because her dad lived up there and she would spend the summers there she said. Turns out I was right and this crazy bitch burned down a building but left her purse at the scene.
Moral: Internet bitches be crazy

How would I know?
I dont have FB or send my picture out or post it anywhere.
I assume my SO has a picture of the two of us on her FB page, but I doubt anyone would use that. So I assume I am safe.
But, say someone was using my picture, how would I find out unless someone saw it and told me?
I don't use FB and I don't go checking out dating websites looking at guys to see if my pic is being used.

Thats crazy shite right there.
A friend of mine told me one time, his brother met some chick online. She lived in California an after communicating online for several months he decided he was going to fly out to California, meet her in person and stay with her for a week to see where things go. Two days after he left, my friend came home from work and his brother was home (they had an apartment together). At first his brother just told him when he arrived in California he decided he wasn't ready to meet her and just flew back home. Eventually his brother broke down on him and told him he actually met the girl and she looked nothing like her picture. She told him it was a picture of her from several years ago, but the only thing she had in common with the picture was hair color.
Once he arrived at the airport he took a taxi to work. As soon as he saw the girl looked nothing like her picture, he walked way and called a taxi to bring him back to the airport. I think she ended up sending him an email explaining to him that the picture was her cousin and she thought that once he got to know her he wouldn't care what she looked like..

In high school, two buddies of mine and I were drinking in the French Quarter and noticed a camera crew filming on Bourbon. A couple of days later, channel 4 ran a series of stories on chicken hawks (young male gay prostitutes). They kept showing a clip of the three of us with faces blurred out strolling along Bourbon.
This really doesn't have much to do with the original topic but I like telling the story.

I admit, I used your profile and e-mail address on a gay dating site... I don't think you had a reply

We were in high school and I was talking to a sloot from a few towns away on the yahoo im. She invited me over one day and made it clear for what, I had just gotten together with a pretty cool chick at the time though. I decided I was gonna let one of my buddies go instead, since we had never actually met in person, she had just seen my pictures.
The buddy I sent looked nothing like me though, and wasn't exactly in the greatest shape.
She was offering PIIHB when we were talking, but he still was able to get head out of it all.

I guess the one plus of getting older is this becomes less of a threat to you.

Damn, she must have had self confidence issues. A guy shows up to her house who looks nothing like the guy she had been talking to and instead of being pissed she sucked is weenie..

Eh, think any girls offering PIIHB in high school without meeting the guy would also be another tell tale

True. I bet her parents were divorced.
