Is this the right thread to tell you how much I love blackberry whiskey? It’s my new fave bevvie when I mix it with lemonade.

On topic: I drink a glass of wine every night after or with dinner.

Yep. Most nights 1 but sometimes 2 drinks max. Vodka, tequila, whiskey or wine. All on the rocks minus the wine of course.

Nope. True.

Wine is my hobby. I have a 1,600 bottle temperature controlled walk in cellar.

However, more than 2 and I don't sleep well and get a hangover. I could never comprehend how bad alcoholics must feel every day.

This guy is no better than the Karen nazis who want you to mask up. How insecure do you have to be to start a thread like this?

this website is full of alcoholics and people who were raised by alcoholics that can’t comprehend a healthy relationship with alcohol

yep and same with being fat. raised by fat alcoholics and have become fatty alcoholics that think the whole world revolves around partying and eating and anything that interferes with that is dumb and anyone who participates is a sucker

literally if you tell people....hey prolly not good to eat and drink like that, at the very least on a week day....you get told you are no fun, a fricking loser, and all kinds of other things

the way S Louisiana culture revolves around alcohol and somehow if you dont drink all the time and get black out drunk as an adult....you are looked at as a POS who thinks he is better than others.

I meant it kinda respectfully. If you have that kind of palate for fine wines. I assume you dabble occasionally in a fine brandy, bourbon, etc etc, when the situation presents itself

That’s me too. I rarely have more than 2 glasses wine during the week. I’m usually too tired from a long work day

If I’m helping my middle schooler with his algebra at 9:30 at night, I’m going to have a drink while I do it. It’s better for everyone involved.

Nothing wrong with that.

Blackberry lemonade sounds good.

I used to, but not anymore. I have a decent collection of nice bourbons and such, but don't drink any of them. Only wine.

S Louisiana drinks more than any place I have ever lived in my life and by a rather wide margin. It is the only place I've ever seen beer at little kids birthdays, etc.

It is a way of life it seems.

Alcohol is good for you

Doctors use it to kill bacteria before they do surgery

It’s funny how society makes up these terms to shame people that are happier than them

If you don’t take the clot shot you’re an anti vaxxer, if you go to the gym you’re a meat head, if you like having fun you’re an “alcoholic”

Really says a lot about society

its fricking weird. and we wonder why we are last in so many things

our largest city essentially closes to business for 2 weeks a year

we eat and drink like shite

we have shitty education systems without parental involvement

and if you dont participate in those things...you will be accused of being a POS, who is no fun and thinks he is better than everyone else.

Why don’t you move to Utah and be a Mormon. It sounds like you’d fit in
