I out kicked my coverage for who and where I was at that young age.
But looking at the full spectrum of our lives?
Nope.
I treat her very well. I exercise and remain in good shape. I have never been unfaithful. I helped her raise our kids and I take care of her widowed and ill mother. I am also the spiritual head of my home and our kids all have great relationships with us and each other.
Plus, I have allowed her to not work most of her life and provided her with a stable income in the top 2% of US earners.
She is a great wife, great mother, and has always remained in great shape. Also, a praying woman. Bonus: she spends less money than me.
All in all: good match.

My wife says she's the one who married up. But I'm not sure. We both came from southern blue collar families, so no dowry or trust funds.
We are two peas in a pod: both tall (she's 5-9 and I'm 6-2), healthy and in shape, educated, outgoing (when I want to be), energetic and optimistic people.
We never argue (I'm sure some will call BS, but it's true). The woman has no drama, just a happy-go-lucky spirit. Not a shopper either and posts on social media like once a month.
But the one thing in my favor that makes her even more of a prize is she'e 8 years younger than I. I just retired, she's gonna work another 5 years or so while we travel.
Edit to add that I have had numerous people (males and females) ask: Where did you find her? Does she have a sister?

A girl I dated for about six months. She was a stripper at the Gold Club. Looked just like Brittany Daniel in the face but had fake DD's. It was an interesting relationship, she had dated men with money before me and wanted a change. She is currently married to a guy with money.

And nobody gets to run to Mommy, Daddy, Sister, Brother, or Friends to avoid working through problems.
I think that’s part of sharing the same values and the level of commitment marriage requires. IMHO.
Mrs M was a dead ringer for a young Maureen O’Hara when we married almost fifty years ago.
Better looking really.
I have no clue to this day why she said yes to my proposal.

I did , she is 10 years younger than me.
Blonde Hair , Blue eyes, looks like a Swedish model.
Most importantly she is not high maintenance and doesn’t have I’m better than everyone else attitude .
Been with her since 2016.
