I had 3.
All were stolen when I was burglarized last October.
Well I certainly hope the new owner is familiar with state and federal gun laws.

I have a problem with the 30/50 round clip automatic weapons though.
How many people do you think actually owns an automatic weapon within a 100 mile radius of you?
HINT: Chances are the number is less than 1.

I've been looking hard at a getting one but concerned that it might be a little too big.
It's true mid-sized (roughly the same size as Glock 19/23) as far as the frame and side, but it is an all metal gun.
A better classic sig option for carry is the P239 - but it is also a single stack. Within the market today, it is relatively oversized for the capacity, but if you're "all in" on classic Sigs (like me), it's about the best way to go for a gun to have on you all the time.
My biggest pet peeve is the single stack, if it accepted P229 and P226 magazines, it would be a no-brainer for me.

The absolute best part was when the sheriffs showed up later on to open a file, they treated me like a criminal.
Dummies went on about how I was in illegal ownership of these guns to begin with. I bought them in Louisiana, but this was Texas and I still have a Louisiana DL.
Was fun to put them in their place.

In their defense, I have been around guns of all flavors my entire life and refer to a magazine as a clip.

Way to be part of the problem.

Sig makes a good product. If I were going to go back to carrying a semi-auto I'd probably go with the P239 .357.

Dunblane school massacre...14 killed with four legally held handguns.
Luby's guy had a Glock 17 and Ruger P89. He reloaded multiple times. Most victims died from a single gunshot to the head. There was heroism in some getting others out. There were no legally armed folks inside (in Killeen, no less). One of the survivors lost both parents in the shooting and became literally the poster child for "shall issue" laws in Texas.

I'm not changing my vocabulary for either the gun nut or gun control nazi. I dislike both equally.

I'm not worried about the weight I've always carried around tons of shite on my belt/in my pockets for work.
I really like DA/SA handguns and the 229 seems like it fits my bill perfectly.

My nightstand gun was a P229 before the volcano. My favorite was a P245. #TeamSig

calling a firearm magazine a clip is similar to calling concrete cement.

Both make good firearms. As of this past Christmas I'm also a Charter Arms guy myself.

I don't get the fascination with some of them.
I have a few just for hunting.
Have an M1 garand, German mauser, and British 303. But you can still hunt with the mauser and 303.
So the only gun I own that I haven't used for killing and eating an animal is an important part of history to our country

I'm not really a gun person so I'm not tempted to start a collection or anything, but I love my Springfield XDS 9mm. I use it for carry and target shooting.

I own 4. I carry at least one whenever and wherever it is legal to do so.

Never was raised around them. I don't think I have ever shot a gun either. However, most of my friends have them usually for hunting and other games.
I have no problem with people having guns. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Had this guy not had guns, he would have used other means to carry out this attack.
Mental illness is a big problem in this country. Pills are the biggest enemies of this country. My dad always tells me people come in there to get prescribed for mental illnesses they fake. He turns most of them down and offers cognitive methods.
