I have to agree.
Never seen Baton Rouge in total darkness at 10 in the morning

I saved some pictures from that day that people were posting and sending into the news station

So, there was a tornado alert on your phone, you heard the commonly described "freight train" noise and yet allowed your kids to stay in bed? Father of the year.

by the time I woke up, realized what was going on, thought it through and processed it all, it was already dissipating.

Got up and ran around like a confused/terrified chicken. I thought it was the intruder alarm. We raced to get the baby before realizing it was the phone.

Needless to say, everyone woke up a little tired since we were pacing until 315 to wait it out. Only damage was Christmas trees and poinsettias knocked over, gas lights out.

Even though it's unnerving, I am glad they send that alert. Tornados in the middle of the night spook me.

There was likely a tornado near the border this morning. The circulation appeared on radar and stayed constant for 20 min moving with the storm. There were 3 at one point. The stuff in the EBR metro area never showed a constant rotation. Likely nobody around to even notice in the area it was in.

Not a twig blown out of the trees at my house. Have some cardboard boxes stacked up in the carport from Christmas day that are still standing. Live off airline pretty much between gonzales and pville. Power was out for an hour after the warnings, have no idea why though.

Didn't hear it at all. I would have been dead as a doornail if a tornado had come over my house.

Scared the shite out of me.

Literally, I had to go to the bathroom as soon as it woke me up.
