Drink 1 or 2 nights a week. I stick to mainly weekends unless there's a game midweek to catch in which I'll drink a few.

I'm 24. In college I was drinking to blackout level 3 nights/week minimum... Sometimes 5 times/week.

After a year of having a job and a 40+ HR/week work week, I'm drinking only on the weekend, and half the time I don't have the energy to go Friday and Saturday night. I can't even imagine the hell of waking up hungover early on a weekday and going to work.

Im not sure how much of my exhaustion has to do with getting older and my hangovers getting worse vs. just being tired from work and lack of sleep.

Pretty much exactly this. Every weekend I'll drink, but rarely do I drink during the week, something has to be going on... I got super drunk one night during the week, and I vowed never to do it again. I was just sitting at my desk watching the clock till I could leave. I wanted to die.

The real question is how many mornings a week do you drink. That answer would be much more predictive of alcoholism.

Agree. I also know people who sneak a drink during work. They can't function without it.

Yeah, that's a sure sign of a problem.

Relax dude. Are you capable of having one drink? Then you are fine. I have friends that drink almost every night, but they are not alcoholics. I have friends that seldom drink, and are alcoholics. If it is fricking up your life, maybe see if you can quit for a while. Otherwise...

Same here but usually Wednesday rather than Tuesday.

It really varies. Could be 0 one week then 4 another. However, I only drink wine and even then it is no more than 2 glasses a night. Not exactly heavy drinking even if I do it every night of the week.

I have a beer or two nearly every day. Almost never drink enough to get drunk because I just don't enjoy being drunk.

Every.

5-6 beers usually. On the weekends, I will occasionally pump it up to 8-9. I am the definition of a functional alcoholic. I never have a hangover, and it does not affect my work performance in the least. Wife makes a comment every once in a great while.

I'm about the same, usually I have a few beers on my league tennis night (Thursdays), an occasional trivia night at a bar with friends or happy hour and 10-12 over the course of the weekend. How many over the weekend depends on if I'm playing golf. I probably average about 3 drinks/day.

My drinking truthfully varies depending on the kind of beer I drink. For example, during the week and Fri-Sat, I like to have some good craft beers. I'll limit that consumption due to IPAs, Stouts, etc having more alcohol content and just so I can enjoy the beer. If on the weekend or Sundays, I'm having some Dos Equis, I'll drink more because they don't effect me as much as IPAs, etc. So,

M-Th...probably 2, maybe 3 beers.
Fri-Sat...usually a pint and a growler
Sun...usually 4-6 Mexican beers if I'm lounging at the pool, playing some golf, having some BBQ or TexMex.
