Guess I need to change the parameters. Lets say an MLB pitcher with his full arsenal of pitches. How many can you at least tip?

full arsenal? I'd be lucky to make contact with 3 or 4

Might be able to make contact around pitch 90-100, as the pitcher gets tired.

It is actually hard to throw 95 without movement. Maybe impossible

Troy Percival was still throwing mid 90s his last few years but his fastball really straightened out on him. Hardly any movement whatsoever. The results weren't pretty.

I should be able to get a bat on the ball by the 40th-50th pitch...... I'll say 12/100 all tips no clean hits.

We had a double A guy throw to us in practice at high school and the results were not good. I'd say I miss most, foul tip a few, and weak ground out or pop up a couple times.

What pitcher?

If we are talking Aroldis Chapman... after getting my timing on the first 20, Im thinking I could get 40+ of the remaining 80 because all he has is heat.

Arrieta? Maybe 30-40 based on how many pitches he has that are filthy.

Willy Peralta? I would say I could get at least 60-70... because he gives up a ton of hits... stuff is flat right now.

It depends on the order. If he is trying to keep me from getting the timing down by going heat then off speed, not very many. If he threw 40 straight fastballs, I could probably get the ball on 25 of them. I doubt I'd hit very many of the off speed pitches. If he mixed it up I'd probably hit less than 10.

I'll say some contact on 25-30 pitches, with maybe 3 - 5 being in play.

I was a fairly decent high school player, but never faced even a decent college pitching prospect.

I imagine most people would look like John Kruk batting against Randy Johnson in the 1993 All Star game. LINK The only way a casual batter will make contact is on a mistake by the pitcher, or a lucky guess as to speed and location of a pitch.

yep, just go watch a journeyman big league pitcher up close and live, in a situational ab, non of us on here are touching nobody, there was a local contest a couple of months ago for free TX Ranger season tix if you could hit a homer off of a bp pitcher grooving it in something like a hundred pitches, no former college players allowed, there was one guy who whined his way into the contest that had played four years in college, had only been out for a couple of years and was coaching hs ball, he flailed around in there for a while before making any significant contact, finally got into a little bit of a groove and barely got one over the wall with a couple of pitches to go, with a bp pitcher whose job it is to help you hit

MLB pitcher firing his full arsenal of stuff at you. All are strikes or close to it but pitcher can hit the corners. How many can you get a piece of?

Out of 100? I was never a great ball player, so I'm going to say I could hit fair, maybe 2 or 3 and foul or get a tiny piece of maybe half dozen, 10 more? It would be pretty humbling for almost anyone not a professional or serious college baseball player.

I'm not saying I'd take them deep, but we are talking about contact... a quail, a ground ball, a foul ball... Choke and poke gets you contact. Now granted, I played college ball within the last 10 years. I have also stood in against some guys with big league time. However, if we are assuming they will throw nothing but strikes, you can get some wood on it. If they are throwing off the plate and sliders in the other batter's box, it becomes more difficult.

I could probably hit 90+. Well, that was before I broke my thumb in a shopping accident. I could have gone pro too.

I took about 20 cuts off of the bp pitcher then they asked if I wanted to try a few "live rounds" from one of their AA guys. After about 10 swings off of his bp fastball he went live. Nothing but fastballs from 92-96. It was a 35 pitch workout for him and I put 1 ball in play and fouled a few off. The one I put in play didn't go past the infield dirt.

Something like this would be fairly attainable for a decent to good high school baseball player. I mean Zach Grienke is a Cy Young winner and he gets swing-and-misses on less than 7% of his strikes thrown. Jose Fernandez has been largely unhittable and guys only miss 20% of his strikes when they swing. If there was some way to guarantee it would be a called strike every time, I think 20ish is the floor for a good prep player, even if all pitches are allowed.
