With Xfinity, I pay for $60/mo for 300MB & get that on my phone. However my laptop taps out at around 41MB & streaming movies has its hiccups. I have a 2BR/2BA condo & some of it may just have to do w/ the construction of the building/electrical box way down the hall.
Their tech's have been here 7 times over the last 2 years. I have pretty much just given up & just live with it.

What's the most accurate test site on both laptop, tablet, and phone?

Also what's the current prices?

After reading #s on here I think I'm getting screwed.

Is there a certain way to use the google mesh and the att provided router/modem?

All I did was follow the instructions on the google mesh box and it synced right up. Could not have been easier

400 down 25 up, and a nighthawk router, even when 5 devices are streaming it is still flawless.

You're throwing away money with that. You could do the same thing with probably 50 down and it would seem exactly the same.

Unfortunately I only can get 8 down where I live and about 1 up. Can still stream two devices without any delays. My phone is fast enough on its own to not need to connect it. We get by. I wish we could get faster, but DSL is the only option here....well there is satellite, but frick that crap.

Just upgraded to 1GB last week via Xfinity (coax, not fiber).

The problem I'm having is I don't have a device that can handle 1gb speeds to get an accurate reading

My iphone pegs out at about 450mb max over wifi, so I know I'm getting at least that much.
