The car was first shown in 2006. In the current auto world 12 years without change is a long time.

Was the car so good initially that it can keep on as is? Or is FCA too poor to do a full refresh of the car? Other?

Another ‘Special Edition’ that was just announced.

Who are buying all of these dodges? They rattle apart after 6 months.

The Challengers are more reliable than Mustangs/Camaros.

I wouldn’t buy one and I think Dodge is shite in general, but none the less.

It's a white trash car and I don't think those people care. The market isn't calling for it

Huh? I've never heard of any major issues with any of the pony cars with respect to reliability.

As for OP's question, FCA changed their plan for the direction of the Challenger, which set back the redesign til after 2020.

Why mess with PERFECTION? The Dodge Challenger is the single greatest vehicle ever made for a select population. Its also the #1 vehicle sold in Alabama, Florida, and Arkansas for a reason.

They don't have a need to change them because Bama keeps buying them in bulk during the offseason.

The Challenger, Charger, and 300 are the best cars they make. I don't like the styling of the Dodge very much, but the full sized Chryslers actually aren't bad if maintained. The Chargers and Challengers are often owned by people that don't maintain them. I would avoid them used.

The 300 is a nice, comfortable car. I love big American cars like that. Same chassis as the Charger but the owners tend to be a little older and more likely to maintain it.

I wouldn't touch a Fiat based Chrysler product, but I would definitely consider a 300.
