You’re on here bragging about buying a fricking Tacoma. I’d take it easy on the rock throwing

I'm guessing the real reason is you're afraid to tell him you bought elsewhere. No other reason for that behavior

These aren’t boilerplate mass emails. Rather, these are personalized emails he’s clearly writing at the moment.

I haven’t let him know I’m no longer in the market, because I want to see how tenacious he is. He’s pretty amazing so far.

Considering they have lead tracking software and his bosses have quotas for him to make so many cold calls or follow ups he will keep doing it until he can either mark the sale as closed/not available or until the time limit they set is up.

they never do, he will stop after 3-4 weeks and then your name gets sent to another salesman who will harass you for 4-5 weeks and then you get handed off to another salesman.

tell them you already bought a vehicle, thats the only thing that works for me. sometimes i still get a call a month later and i have to tell them again i already bought one.

until they realize there is zero chance you are going to buy a vehicle, its a game of find the right person to get you to buy one

Yeah...I suppose he could use that time to stand in the lot and smoke another cigarette.

Then you must be shopping from a trashy dealership with trashy salesmen. Which means you were likely looking at a trashy car.

I can't stand car salesmen either but I get straight to the point with them. OP is an asset for not being up front and letting this guy know he will never make the sale.

Does the fricker think I forgot about buying a new truck?

WTF dude?
saying "I would be back in touch if interested." is literally telling them your still looking and they arent doing their job if they dont keep trying to hard sell you

I didn’t realize so many OTers are in the auto sales business.

As has been said, that's a pretty dick move. The guy is a salesman. If he is under the impression that he can still make a sale then obviously he would keep at it.

I don't have to be in auto sales to understand that you are likely a piece of shite

So...you're a dick?

Let them know if you buy somewhere else. It's not personal. They wont be pleased to have missed the sale, but they will know not to devote time to a wasted prospect.

Have you talked to a professional about your irrational need for attention?

Alright y’all...I just responded to today’s email with “I’m no longer in the market.”

I’m curious to see how this goes.
