I'm a tool because I think it is funny that someone only washes their jeans once every SIX months when they wear them daily? Really?

Levi 501's last a life time.

LL Bean is hard to beat as well. I have a flannel lined pair I'm wearing now. They keep my satchel nice and warm.

Uhh. You CAN wash them. But if you want them to mold and fade to your body then it hinders the process.

Everyone who has never heard of this must be the Wal Mart Wrangler type or something.

Basically. Well the Japanese became obsessed with vintage 501's in the 80's, at a time when men's fashion became a thing. Americans started noticing their reproductions of vintage Levi's in the 90's, and now there are a ton of handmade raw denim jean companies in the U.S., usually just a couple of people hand stitching high quality jeans.

Since most Levi's are made outside the U.S. except for a few higher end jeans, I don't mind spending money on handmade American raw denim that I like and can afford. They'll last a longtime and I like wearing them.

Exactly. The mould and fade is a big reason to buy raw denim in the first place.

Step away from the raw denim koolaid! They don't get dirty, pick up smells, or need washing.

I wore raw denim jeans as a kid. They are the suck, all this breaking in stuff is silly, they do it for you now

Wrangler makes quality jeans that normally have to be bought at a boot store or ordered online. The wal mart stuff is not their top quality, obviously.

O you're so edgy man

You were implying that wearing wranglers means that you only buy jeans from Walmart.

Levis 501's - crotch wears a hole in about 2-3 years
Wrangler Cowboy Cuts - arse rivets develop holes in about 2-3 years

Still all I'll buy

J Crew is what you want. Reasonably priced and last a good while. Also they look great too. I have switched to almost exclusively J Crew for pants, shorts, etc.

AG is my favorite. I also like Citizens and Joe's. I have a few pairs of James Jeans because they are more affordable.

Them lasting is never an issue.

Someone has already mentioned it, but if you wear denim 5 days a week, then go with raw denim. Think $100+. They will wear nicely, and will not be totally shredded up by the time you have worn them to be nice and comfy. Wash every 6 mos. or so.
