Met on a blind date. After a couple of dates I told my friend I thought he was the one. He asked me at 6 months and I said not yet (I was young and not ready). We dated 2 more years then was engaged for 4 months. We've been married a long time.

Depends on age. The older you get the less of a need for a long courtship. People are just more authentic into their 30's.

You're doing it all wrong. It's important on the first date that you make the lady understand that you've got your lives together already mapped out. Women appreciate a man with a plan.

First time, four months. That one lasted 14 years. Second one, three weeks. Seventeen years later, we're still good.
