Please God no. These damn things should be illegal, at least the really loud ones. Too many people with dogs and babies, but can't expect ppl these days to be considerate.

I was very proud of my hood last night. Went watch the big fireworks show on the lake. Got home at 10:15ish and don't think I heard a single shot around the house.

There was a guy behind my house last night that shot off a mortar shell so loud that it echoed throughout the neighborhood. It sounded like a bomb.
I'm afraid to see what my yard looks like. That's what pisses me off. People who aim their shite my direction and my yard is littered with spent fireworks and mortar shell pieces.

Reasonable, although I think they should shut it down by 10:00 on July 4's that fall on a weekday since most people have to wake up early for work and even a lot of kids have to wake up early for summer camps.

Most cities have ordinances prohibiting the use of of fireworks.
If you live in the suburbs and don't like it, move into the city with the rest of the whining b*tch arse "law abiding" citizens.
Otherwise, be a man and enjoy the free show with a cigar and scotch. While you enjoy the suburbs.

The only way to handle people shooting fireworks too late at night is to fire yours up at 4a.m. the next morning.
