Yes! I’ve also recently started watching The Smithsonian Channel. There is a show called “How did they build that?” and I found myself watching it until 2am

Yes, it's amazing. I'd like to see new episodes showing how the manufacturing machinery/robotics is made...

There was one episode where the entire episode was Holland & Holland handcrafting a shotgun. The amount of time you have to spend being an apprentice before you can put your hands on the guns was something like 3-7 years depending on what you were doing.
After seeing that episode, I will not die without owning an English hand made side by side shotgun from H&H.
