My sister in law is trying to explain it to me but I’m not a poon hound so I need some clarification.

A dating app is a dating app. Is hinge like the white flight app these days?

What if Hinge is really the Abominable Snowman and Bumble is the Rougarou?

Bumble is over the top liberal and you will get banned quick if you say anything the mob doesn't like. Also bumble is taken over by a bunch of fat chicks.

Hinge is for the people probably over the age of 22 that are tired of tinder. Hinge is popular because it is similar to tinder but the young college crowd and the younger ones haven't taken over yet

Hinge is a joke. It’s better than Tinder if you are looking for something serious, but they limit you to 10 swipes a day.

can you pay monthly to swipe more daily? i honestly have no clue never used it.

also, is hinge, tinder, bumble etc. better for hooking up than say e-harmony, match and a few others?

are hinge, tinder, and bumble free compared to the more extensive dating match apps?

This is true of all dating apps. The hot chicks typically are on the app first and all of the guys follow. The hot chicks eventually flee to a new app after all the creeps run them off and the less attractive women move in to fill the void. When this happens, the app begins hiding your likes deeper in the stack which forces you to swipe through a mountain of meh to eventually reveal a like. That’s when guys start paying to see their likes. The cycle just repeats itself

EHarmony is dogshit. Match used to be the gold standard and is still pretty good but decent women get all the matches they could ever want on free apps so they’ve stopped paying for it, quality and quantity of the women on there has gone downhill.

they both suck. i don't like online dating but the majority of woman in my social circles are married, so i don't have much of a choice. but yeah, online dating sucks.

E-harmony seems like the least likely to just hook up.

One of my friends lays waste to poon by just randomly adding girls on FB and chatting them up

I wouldn’t use e-harmony or match unless you’re over 40, ultra serious about finding a LTR, and are too busy for the apps.

I believe you can pay to have unlimited swipes on Hinge, but unless you are in a high usage area or travel a lot, it’s not worth it.

Bumble, Hinge, and Tinder are all free and they all have paid subscriptions that offer various upgrades.

Tinder casts the widest net as it has the most users, and is great if you are just looking to smash or have a casual friend. Lot of OF and “premium” Snapchat girls on it. You can message someone immediately if you match up with them. You can’t change your central location usually on it but I believe they did a week or so in late spring where you could set your location wherever you wanted.

Bumble is a little more focused and has less riff raff and “noise” than Tinder, but has less users (can be a plus or minus depending on your outlook). The drawback with Bumble is that when you match up with a girl, they have to message you first, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but if you match, and they don’t message within 24 hours, they’re gone (Bumble says they go back into the pool you can swipe on, but in 4-5 years, I’ve only seen one return to my pool). If they would up that to a week, it would be so much better. Always wondered how it works for lesbians or stool stirrers, but that’s a question best left unanswered. Your location is basically set to wherever you are. You can buy a “token” to change your location for up to a week at a time, but it will tell other users that you are in travel mode.

Hinge is basically more focused Bumble with a much smaller user base and much more limited swipes (you get 10 daily, whereas Bumble gives you 100 daily and I believe Tinder gives you 50 every 12 hours). It does lend itself to conversation starting easier, but you still have to have a match before you can carry on that conversation. You can set your location to anywhere you want, although it labels certain towns after locations that have nothing to do with the area (it called the West Ashley area of Charleston, South Charleston, literally no one in West Ashley has ever referred to it as South Charleston).

I believe each of them offers a monthly “unlimited” plan where you can swipe as many times as you want. If you want to find some dates/rack up your matches, I highly recommend doing one month of Tinder/Bumble premium and just do a barrage of swiping. I did that with Tinder for a month a couple of years ago and basically ignored the profile, just swiped based on pics. Had a few dozen matches and then sorted from there. It also helps if you know you are going out to another city for a vacation/getaway in a few weeks so you can arrange things ahead of time and make back up plans if necessary (I did this when I knew I was going to Orlando, helped me make Plans A, B, and C).
