It's awful.

Haven't drank or smoked a cig since MG. Trying to permanently quit smoking and take lent off booze. Stupid to try both at the same time.

Yeah, his only outlets are caffeine, sweets, and sex, and he's married, so he probably isn't getting that much sex. I'd probably go a little crazy.

It's quite easy actually although it would be nice to drink socially from time to time. Alcohol makes me sick for days, even after drinking 1 or 2 beers.

I don't trust people that don't have vices.

Life is pretty intolerable with vices, I can't imagine how shitty it could be without them.

Some people have things in their life other than alcohol and cigarettes.

We sober, non-addict non-smokers get through life by using the money we saved on booze and cigs to buy cool stuff like nice houses, cool cars, and cool vacations. It's tough, but we survive.

How horrible

Well I just returned from an AA meeting. Been clean and dry for 70 days now. It's not as bad as you think. I thought like you for many many years.

Truly horrible life would be one without accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour

I have accepted Jesus.

His first miracle was turning water into wine at a party.

I love Jesus.

I quit drinking for 6 months years ago to help a friend. It sucked for me. Probably saved his life and marriage. He's still sober. I love beer still.

I've never been a smoker, but I quit drinking in December when I found out I was pregnant. This is the first time I've ever quit drinking, and I don't hate it. No hangovers (although Id take hangovers over some of these symptoms), I follow through with my weekend morning workouts, clear head, no mindless drunk snacking, no drunken word vomit, etc.

I definitely see the merit in a sober lifestyle, but sometimes I miss having a glass of wine after a long work week.

It's easy. Especially no nicotine. Tobacco is just gross.

With alcohol I don't like liquor and I quit drinking beer to lose weight.
