That was me. He's one already and we need him to be an outside dog. We already have a cat inside and I would rather him be able to run around outside while we are gone (1 acre) and just come up into the porch with the ceiling fan when he gets hot

So hard that we had to put the switch inside the house and could turn it on at night for him.

Well he still be allowed inside at times when yall are home?

As for the dog house...my dad built one for our dog years ago when I was a kid. So can't be too difficult.

It's not hard, just need a power drill and a circular saw. I built a base, framed up the four walls, and then made a removable roof in case I need to get in there, and to make it lighter when carrying it. I went with a tin roof rather than stapling all the shingles on. And painted it with waterproof paint to help with the rotting. Then got a little pad to fit in there.

Little shitter never uses the damn thing besides when it rains... But I had fun and drank beer while building it.

He let my little brother and sister paint the thing as well(the ones that are mentally challenged). He figured it would keep them busy for a few hours and didn't think he needed to watch them do it.

My sister had picked out sky blue for the dog house. They painted the dog house....and the dog sky blue.

draftsman should work / just get the plans stamped by an engineer

and make sure you take care of all subsurface and site conditions before you start work

it also helps to have temporary power and water on day one - even for the pilings and forming stages.

if you have any problems with inspectors, try to schedule their inspections on Friday afternoons or Monday mornings.

Contact neighbors prior to filing any variances to smooth them over and try to eliminate any opposition at public hearings.

Providing that you have decent wood working skills it should be very easy. Figure out what you want then draw it up and build it
