Most sites don't have the gig output of Amazon. A lot are like this antiquated site.
Dude...just stop. You made up "antiquated site". There is no such thing. Do you think hosting companies trying to stay competitive with AWS haven't upgraded servers since the AOL days or something?
This is all really way over your head yet you started the thread and even used terms like "the pipe" lol
And just FYI AWS handles over 30% of all internet traffic so chances are sites you go to every single day are hosted by Amazon. If not then they are probably on Azure.

This site goes down during big games because it can't handle the traffic.
When was the last time the interface on this site was updated? 2005?
This site is an antique by modern standards.

How fast does the electricity run at your house? Mine's pretty fast.

I have been told I have a gag pipe.

Come on over. I'll expose a couple of live wires on a cord and let you do a speed test.

Come on, Stout. You've been here a long time. Answer the question.

That hasn't happened in a very long time.
It also has nothing to do with being "antique" and has more to do with the data plan from their server host.
Any site can be brought down throwing enough data at it. That is what a DDOS attack is.

WTF does that have to do with server speeds? You keep switching because I don't think you understand how anything works.

Doesn't need to be updated.
This is far and away the best forum site I have used.

You do realize that a crash could also be due to coding issues?

This is the same interface that was here 17-18 years ago. That is antiquated.

That has nothing to do with speed which is what your whole thread is about.
Craigslist has the same interface from when it started in 1995. Do you think that means they are still running on the same server speed as nearly 30 years ago? Do you think that the code hasn't been adjusted despite the appearance?
You have no grasp of how any of this works. Just stop.

It had nothing to do with 97 cameras and a gaming arcade, but you went there. It was about one old computer.

The technology for 100+ MB has been out for 20 years, baw.
