This is a 14 year 3 month old computer running Windows 7. I guess if I bought a new computer I might be a little faster.

Link those images.

your computer (unless the modem is maxed out) isn't likely to affect your upload/download speeds, sir

My ISP offers speeds (for a premium) that you can't get a store bought PC that can keep up.

A 14 year old computer is beyond antique. It is obsolete.

Sounds like they offer it at a rip off and not a premium if no PC can keep up with it

A lot of tech companies in the area. They need and can handle that speed.

However, if you call and want it at your home, they will bring it.

Perhaps that's why you've mistakenly held onto the computer. You thought it was an antique when it was merely obsolete.

Most web pages are almost instant at the speed posted.

My Internet is actually 300 Mpbs....but this machine won't do it.

They have home 1 gig for $67.99 + tax

You can get 2.5 gig for 97.99

Not many home machines can keep up with with 2.5 gig

They have 10 gig for $299.99

EBR School System is just now retiring desktops from 2010...

I have a 2011 Optiplex in my home office. Runs Manjaro Linux and is great as a homework PC for the kiddos. Windows makes PCs obsolete long before the hardware does.

I pay for gig symetric and have a 2.5G NIC, so yes, I can

ETA: Just got 663/674 on my phone. You'll just have to take my word for it as I don't feel like linking again.

I'm still using an old hP I got at Costco in 2009. It's running Windows 7 as well and I love it. Nooooo problems. I only just last year started getting the messages that "updates are no longer available. Switch to Windows 10" or something. It's pretty clunky and has a loud fan that whirs too much.

I do this too! I don't know why. I've got my old BlackBerry, an old Razor flip phone and my last 2 iPhones, still in the box.
